- Pain with swelling which often occurs within hours of the injury.
- Tenderness along the joint line
- Discomfort while walking, especially on uneven ground
- Loss of full range of motion
- Ongoing feeling of knee instability / giving way with twisting activity
Although a torn ACL will not heal the symptoms can diminish with a good exercise program supervised by a physiotherapist.
